Project Reports

These three templates offer some suggestions for how to write about projects, successful and unsuccessful. They can be used as a guide to help you write, or as interview questions. The finished article should be around 300-500 words long, and if possible, include photos of the process and the final product.

How I made…

  • What did you make?
  • Why did you want to make it? Where did you get the idea?
  • What materials did you use?
  • What was your process? What steps did you follow?
  • What went well? What went wrong? If you made it again, would you do it the same way?
  • What are you proud of about this project?

What I learned from my first …

  • What did you make?
  • Why did you want to make it? Where did you get the idea?
  • What went well?
  • What went wrong?
  • If you made another one, what would you do differently?
  • What piece of advice would you give someone else making their first [item]?
  • Are you glad you tried it?

  • What were you trying to achieve?
  • How did you try to do it?
  • What went wrong?
